For sale is this magnificent mid-century Brazilian Rosewood draw-leaf dining table by well-known Danish manufacturer Moreddi, and distributed by Skovmand & Andersen. Circa 1960s and just lovingly restored back to pristine condition, normally Danish dining tables are made of teak so this is indeed unique being it’s made of rosewood so it’s both quite stunning and unique. The usage of Brazilian Rosewood was banned in the early 1990s, making rosewood furniture in-general more rare and highly sought-after as they're no longer being produced.
OVERVIEW: Keen attention was paid to every detail of its restoration so it's now in absolutely gorgeous condition, certain to be the focal point of your dining space. The rich-and-dark rosewood is absolutely gorgeous and would be a beautiful table for your family/guests to gather around for the next 30+ years, then pass along to the next generation for their enjoyment too.
OVERALL COLORING NOTE: the rosewood is a richer/darker in-person than depicted in photos, rosewood is always so difficult to properly capture with photography.
TABLE DETAILS: The rosewood dining table now exudes that wonderful, deep-and-rich rosewood coloring and has just been professionally restored and finished with a protective catalyzed lacquer coating for both protection against general usage and UV-light fading. Closely inspect the pictures and you'll also notice the beautiful tabletop wood graining that is book-matched meaning one congruent/repeating woodgrain pattern all the way from one end to the other...they certainly don't make furniture of this quality anymore. The scale of this table would be best suited for medium-to-larger dining spaces. It is 52" x 34" at its smallest, then extends to 92" when fully extended with the two 20” draw-leaf extensions hidden underneath the main tabletop - enough for 8 people! Table height is 28.5" high. Legs simply unscrew for transport/moving.
CONDITION: I've restored numerous rosewood pieces over the years, and this is one of the most exquisite and highest quality craftsmanship, deep-and-dark old-growth rosewood coloring and overall condition. It's just been lovingly restored/reconditioned in so it now exudes a beautiful sheen with that lovely warm rosewood glow to showcase the beautiful wood-grain throughout. As with all vintage furniture, there are small signs of wear/patina throughout that I've addressed but this one came out pristine. Overall, it presents beautifully.
DIMENSIONS: 52" x 34" at its smallest, then extends to 92" when fully extended with the two 20” draw-leaf extensions hidden underneath the main tabletop. Table height is 28.5" high.
CHAIRS: not included with the table but are for sale (see my other listings).
