Four Danish modern teak Kai Kristiansen "Z" dining chairs w/new gray upholstery, model 42

Described as some of the most comfortable yet stylish mid-century dining chairs ever made, these "Z" teak chairs by Kai Kristiansen (model 42) are some of the most desirable designs for admirers of mid-century Danish furniture. Well-known for their unique Z-shaped armrests and comfortable tilting backrests, the quality of construction and old-growth teak is of the utmost standard, and perfectly complements the timeless design.

OVERVIEW: Circa 1960s, these solid teak beauties with playful sculptural lines that are just as comfortable as they are stylish. Notice the beautiful splayed legs, unique Z-shaped teak armrests and floating/curved backrests that actually tilt for supreme lumbar support...so you can lean back a bit and have another glass of wine after dinner concludes.

UPHOLSTERY: The seats and backrests have just been professionally upholstered with high-density foam, nylon cross-woven strapping underneath and brand-new, gray boucle fabric throughout (Outback by Kvadrat, 100,000+ abrasion durability). The dark gray textured wool nicely accents the warm teak frames for a classic mid-century look that will never go out of style. Also worth noting, these chairs are just as comfortable as they are beautiful...always an important aspect for those longer meals or game nights around the dining table.

CONDITION: The frames have been meticulously restored/reconditioned so they now exude deep-and-rich teak coloring and wonderful overall sheen. They are absolutely breathtaking and certain to help make your dining set become the showcase of your dining area...and these are so classic they could be paired with either a vintage or modern dining table. Overall, they present beautifully (and would look stellar with one of the teak dining tables I'm offering for sale). One chair had a minor repair to the front legs but functions fine and isn't noticeable...I mention it for full transparency though. They present beautifully overall.
